Yeri Kim
ICAS Intern

Dear Friend:

We are pleased to share with you that Yeri Kim has been appointed as ICAS Intern, effective immediately.

Yeri was born in December of 1980 in Seoul, Korea. Yeri's family immigrated to Irvine, CA, in 1991. She attended Irvine High School and was active in musical programs as a clarinet player, participating in honor groups such as All State Honor Band and All Southern California Honor Orchestra. Yeri represented her school at a leadership program at Pepperdine University and attended various summer programs at University of Southern California and Yale University. She graduated from Irvine High School in 1999 with highest honors and distinctions in music, social science, and history. Yeri was also a National Merit Finalist and a scholarship recipient.

Yeri enrolled at Yale in the fall of 1999, where she studied Political Science and History. She graduated Cum Laude in May of 2003 with honors in both of her majors. While at Yale, Yeri served two terms as a board member on KASY, Korean American Students at Yale, and also served as a mentor and a tutor. Her most memorable experience at Yale was translating the testimony of a surviving comfort woman. During her college career Yeri interned for a Congresswoman, the U S Department of State, and the US Embassy in Seoul, Korea.

Yeri's family resides in Irvine, CA and her parents own a KFC restaurant in Santa Ana, CA. Yeri's older sister is a third grade teacher and her younger brother is a junior at Northwood High School in Irvine.
