Dear Friend:

We are pleased to share with you that Cuong Q Huynh will address the ICAS Summer Symposium: The Korean Diaspora.

Cuong Quy Huynh was born in Saigon, Vietnam. Cuong and his family left Vietnam in 1978 and they lived in Malaysia for sixteen months before they arrived in the United States. Cuong went to a public high school and participated in many volunteering activities, such as with the American Red Cross. He eventually went to UCLA with a major in Sociology and a specialization in Asian American Studies. Cuong also has a master degree in public policy from The University of Chicago, where he was a Woodrow Wilson Fellow. In addition, Cuong has a law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he was a Thurgood Marshall Fellow.

Currently, Cuong is a Presidential Management Fellow at NASA. He is on a detail assignment to the United States Senate Finance Committee as a Legislative Fellow. In addition, Cuong works on international trade and international tax on the Committee.
