We are pleased to share with you that Masaharu Takenaka will address "Japan: The Koizumi Initiatives and Outlook for Economic and Political Landscape" at the ICAS Fall Symposium 2005.

Masaharu Takenaka is Chief Representative of the Washington DC Representative Office, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi since March 2003. After graduating from Tokyo University in 1979, Masa has held positions in the Bank including Chief Manager, Currency Option Group, Funds and Foreign Exchange Division, Chief Manager and Senior Economist, Research Division. He is the author of "Currency Option Strategy" which was published in Japan 1990 (Nikkei Shuppan). Masa also published "Truth of the American Economy" with his staff in Research Division in Japan 2002 (Toyo-Keizai Shinposha).

Other confirmed speakers include Dan Blumenthal (Resident Fellow, American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research), Deborah Fikes (Executive Director, Ministerial Alliance of Midland, Midland, Texas), Hon Sung Lac Wi (Minister of Political Affairs, Embassy of Republic of Korea) and Hon Zeguang Zheng (Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister of Political Affairs, Embassy of People's Republic of China in the USA).
