We are pleased to share with you that Kenny Holdsman (President, Arthur Ashe Youth Tennis and Education) has been named, effective immediately, ICAS Advisor to the ICAS Liberty Tennis Board.

Kenny Holdsman took the helm of AAYTE in 2009. As president, he provides strategic leadership for all aspects of organizational development to ensure the growth of the organization, particularly in its ability to provide holistic opportunities to young people from under-resourced neighborhoods. Kenny brings to his work a passion for youth sports and leadership development, which began in high school as a youth sports coach. He is a founding member of the Philadelphia Youth Sports Collaborative. Kenny is a volunteer coach and program founder/coordinator of Rise Up Basketball in Mt. Airy, as well as a coach for Mt. Airy Baseball, Chestnut Hill Youth Sports Association, and a mentor and advocate with Sudanese Lost Boys. Many of his closest friends and colleagues are youth sports coaches, organizers, and junkies.

Prior to joining AAYTE, Kenny was the senior program officer and director of the youth engagement team for the Academy for Educational Development in Washington, DC, and New York City. Earlier, he was Director of Service-Learning for the School District of Philadelphia (1998-2003), an Adjunct Faculty Member at Temple University College of Education (2001-2002), an Associate Attorney at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll in Philadelphia (1996-1998), and Legislative Director for U.S. Congressman Robert E. Andrews in Washington, DC (1990-1993). Kenny received his B.S. in Economics from Lehigh University in 1989, and J.D. from Temple University Law School in 1996.

The ICAS Liberty Tennis Classic (ICAS Liberty Tennis Classic) is administered by Chi Wan Kim; Commissioner.
