We are pleased to share with you that Tami Overby has been named ICAS Fellow, effective immediately.

Tami Overby, senior vice president for Asia at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, heads Washington’s premier international policy team that is committed to helping American companies compete and prosper in Asia’s dynamic marketplace. Tami is responsible for developing, promoting, and executing programs and policies relating to U.S. trade and investment in Asia.

She works closely with Chamber members, business coalitions, AmChams, government leaders, and business executives to achieve their objectives in the most economically dynamic part of the world. Tami and her team oversee the U.S. Coalition for TPP, an effective alliance led by the U.S. Chamber, the Business Roundtable, the National Association of Manufacturers, the Farm Bureau, and the Emergency Committee for American Trade.

In addition, she is responsible for a diverse Asia program. This includes the Chamber’s China Center, which covers mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Mongolia. Tami also manages the U.S.-Korea Business Council as president and oversees the successful operations of the U.S.-Japan Business Council, the U.S.-Pakistan Business Council, and the Hong Kong-U.S. Business Council.

She drives the Southeast Asia program, which contains the Indonesia Investment Initiative, the Australia Working Group, the Myanmar Working Group, and ongoing activities in Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand. Tami also directs the South Asia program, including the Bangladesh Working Group and activities in Sri Lanka.

She led the U.S.-Korea Business Coalition that resulted in the successful congressional ratification of the KORUS Free Trade Agreement.

She enjoys golfing and traveling.
