Joseph E McGrory
Counseling Psychologist


Dr Joseph E McGrory has degrees from Temple University. He has been a counseling psychologist for over 30 years. He has been primarily teaching college, Spring Garden College and currently at Community College of Philadelphia. He is licensed in Pennsylvania and has an independent practice of counseling and psychotherapy, part-time. He also has been active in teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL). Some of his interests include cognitive therapeutic approaches, practical applications of psychological principles and the role of chemical dependence on personal development as a major source of problems. Recently his focus has been on post-traumatic stress disorder as it applies to a wide range of situations, including immigrant populations.
