ANDREW KIM

ICAS Intern

Dear Friend:

We are pleased to share with you that Andrew Kim has been appointed as ICAS Intern, effective immediately.

Andrew Kim is currently a student attending The George Washington University in Washington, DC, studying History and Political Science. He holds the position of vice-president of the George Washington University Rugby Football Club, the University's largest sports club. Andrew is also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the GWU Classics Club. He is a graduate of Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia, PA where he was the co-president of the Asian American Association and a varsity letter winner for the wrestling team. In the past he has volunteered with nature conservation organizations including Riverbend Environmental Education Center in Philadelphia and the Appalachian Mountain Club. Andrew was the recipient of the AMC Stewardship Society's 1997 Pychowaska Award for public service.

Andrew's interests in History and Political Science fall mainly within the realm of American history and politics. However, he has studied the history of Korea and is interested in comparing the dissident movement within the Republic of Korea with the dissident movements within the nations of Eastern Europe during the Cold War.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Sang Joo Kim / signed
