Dear Friend:
We are pleased to share
with you that Professor Martin Meyerson
will be the Guest of Honour at the ICAS Annual Liberty Award Reception & Dinner 2006
and receive the ICAS Liberty Award 2006 for his "outstanding scholarly achievements
and distinguished humanistic leadership advancing the great American values; Life,
Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness."
Professor Meyerson has chaired the International
Selection Commission for the annual Philadelphia Liberty Medal (www.constitutioncenter.org/libertymedal)
since its inception in 1988. A few of the recipients of the cash award and Medal,
on each July 4, were Justice Thurgood Marshal, Presidents de Klerk, Nelson Mandela
and Dae Jung Kim, Senator George Mitchell, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, President
George H W Bush and President William J Clinton.
Dr Meyerson will grace the evening
with us sharing his life experience as we will honour him.
