We are pleased to share with you that Richard Weitz will address "The Geopolitics of the Six-Party Talks" at the ICAS Spring Symposium on May 18, 2010 in Washington DC.

Richard Weitz is Senior Fellow and Director of the Center for Political-Military Analysis at Hudson Institute. His current research includes regional security developments relating to Europe, Eurasia, and East Asia as well as U.S. foreign, defense, and WMD nonproliferation policies. Richard also is a non-resident Senior Advisor at the Project on National Security Reform (PNSR), where he oversees case study research, and a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), where Richard contributes to various defense projects. He has published or edited several books and monographs, including Global Security Watch-Russia (Praeger Security International, 2009); a volume of National Security Case Studies (Project on National Security Reform; 2008); China-Russia Security Relations (Strategic Studies Institute of the US Army War College, 2008); Kazakhstan and the New International Politics of Eurasia (Central Asia-Caucasus Institute, 2008); Mismanaging Mayhem: How Washington Responds to Crisis (Praeger Security International, 2008); The Reserve Policies of Nations: A Comparative Analysis (Strategic Studies Institute, 2007); and Revitalising US–Russian Security Cooperation: Practical Measures (The International Institute for Strategic Studies, 2005).

Richard is a graduate of Harvard College (B.A. with Highest Honors in Government), the London School of Economics (M.Sc. in International Relations), Oxford University (M.Phil. in Politics), and Harvard University (Ph.D. in Political Science). He is proficient in Russian, French, and German.
