Dear Friend:

We are pleased to share with you that Governor Larry Hogan has been nominated for Guest of Honour for this year's ICAS Summer Symposium: The Korean Diaspora and ICAS Liberty Award Dinner slated to be held on August 11, 2018.

As such, Larry will receive ICAS Liberty Award 2018 in recognition of his outstanding professional achievements and distinguished public service upholding a founding principle of the United States of America.

Governor Larry Hogan was sworn in as Marylandís 62nd governor on January 21, 2015. Prior to his election, Larry worked in the private sector for more than 25 years, starting and running several successful Maryland businesses.

Governor Hoganís commitment to restoring Marylandís economy and creating jobs has yielded real results. His first year in office was the most successful in total job creation and private-sector job growth in the last 15 years.

Larry has also made record investments in education and transportation, and enacted major environmental initiatives to create clean energy jobs and restore the Chesapeake Bay. He serves as the chairman of the Chesapeake Executive Council, and sits on the executive committees of both the National Governors Association and the Republican Governors Association.

Governor Hogan is married to First Lady Yumi Hogan, a first generation Korean-American, and an artist and a teacher. They have three daughters: Julie, Jaymi, and Kim, and two grandchildren.

Thank you.
