We are pleased to share with you that the ICAS Liberty Foundation conferred this evening The Honourable Daniel R Russel the ICAS Annual Liberty Award 2019 and the title of ICAS Liberty Foundation Distinguished Fellow at the ICAS 2019 Annual Liberty Award Celebration Dinner held in honour of him at the Eisenhower Room of the Capitol Hill Club in Washington, DC. The Dinner was preceded by a cocktail reception at the New York/Pennsylvania Room.

The head table guests included Daniel Russel, Synja Kim, Tom Pickering, Nancy Ely-Raphel, Robert Gallucci, Alexander Vershbow, Lisa Vershbow, and Sang Joo Kim.

Special tributes were made for Danny by Ed Feulner (video), Robert Gallucci, Harry Harris (video), James Laney (letter), and Tom Pickering, respectively. Also words were conveyed from Kurt Campbell, John Hamre, James Kelly, and Sung Y Kim.

In response, Danny delivered remarks entitled "Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness".

The Gala evening came to a stunning close with rousing Champagne cheers when Alex Kim, ICAS Intern, made a surprise proposal to Esther Bak and she shyly said "Yes!" accepting a ring.
