Jin Seock Shin

Jin Seock Shin, ICAS Intern was born in Seoul, South Korea and he and his family immigrated to South Africa in 1993. There, Jin Seock attended Pretoria Boys High School and assisted his parents in their missionary work.

Currently, Jin Seock is an undergraduate student at Liberty University, class of 2011, pursuing his BA in International Relations with a specialization in Politics and Policy and a minor in Western legal traditions.

In 2010, Jin Seock interned as a Research Assistant to the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy in Washington, DC. He assisted in constitutional and statutory research and collaborated with staff members to organize and host events, most notably, the 2010 National Lawyers Convention.

Throughout his undergraduate career, Jin Seock has been actively involved in student organizations and volunteer activities, among others, as a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, and as an assistant to a faculty member.

His honors thesis, "The West’s Feet of Clay: Transmuting the Pillars of Liberty from Gold into Dross " seeks to support the centrality of the Judeo-Christian heritage to the growth and sustenance of liberty.
