Yoon, Sang Hyun



Yoon Sang Hyun, ICAS Fellow, is a three-term (Michuhol-gu Gap, Incheon Metropolitan City) member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and currently serves as Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee of the 20th National Assembly since March 2019.

Prior to assuming this post, Sang Hyun served as a ranking member of Intelligence Committee and House Steering Committee. He also took key positions in the Conservative party such as First Vice Floor Leader, Secretary General, Chairman of the International Relations Committee and a spokesperson.

Before holding public positions in the National Assembly, Sang Hyun was a visiting professor of Graduate School of International Studies at Seoul National University.

Sang Hyun earned BA (economics) at Seoul National University, MS (foreign service) at Georgetown University and PhD (political science) from George Washington University.
