CLARENCE TONG
ICAS INTERN
Dear Friend:

We are pleased to share with you that Clarence Tong has been appointed as ICAS Intern, effective immediately.

Clarence is a rising sophomore undergraduate student, studying Systems Engineering, at the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science and is pursuing a dual degree in Economics from the College of Arts and Sciences. He serves on the Executive Board of the Chinese Students Association and chairs the Asian Pacific American Heritage Week Committee that is responsible for bringing in the Keynote Speaker in 2002. Tong is a former intern of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and Office for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He was a Pennsylvania Governor's School for Health Care Scholar in 1999 and a graduate of Cheltenham High School in Wyncote, PA. In addition, with partners, he serves as the Executive Director of "The Asian American Project", an oral history website, in the works, commemorating the Asian American experience.
