We are pleased to share with you that Nicholas Eberstadt will present "The US - ROK Alliance: non sequitur?" at the ICAS Winter Symposium 2006.

Nicholas N Eberstadt is Henry Wendt Scholar in Political Economy, American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy. Nick researches demographics, foreign aid, poverty, infant mortality, health disparities, and economic development. He has written extensively on Korea, East Asia, and countries of the former Soviet Union. Nick's books include The End of North Korea and the forthcoming North Korean Economy.

Nick previously appeared before the ICAS platforms (www.icasinc.org/bios/eberstad.html).

Other confirmed speakers include Raphael Perl (Senior Policy Analyst for Terrorism, Narcotics and Crime, Congressional Research Service, US Library of Congress: "Protecting United States Currency: The Case of North Korea") and Kathryn Weathersby (Senior Associate, Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars: "North Korea's Foreign Relations: Historical Roots of Present Patterns").
